I review the beers I drink

Jameson – Irish Whiskey

Smells of honey, whole grain cereal, and a hint of pepper. Mild and lightly sweet with flavors of apple, honey, butter, and a hint of citrus. The finish is long and warming but with no burn, featuring notes of oak, white pepper, and licorice root. Overall, it’s smooth and mellow, with a subtle sweetness. A good whiskey to start with if you’ve never tried one before.

Jameson and Ginger Ale has a nice crisp balance between ginger, oak, and sugar. A lemon wedge brightens it greatly and adds a subtle citrus undertone.

Jameson and Cola with lemon is cola and oak forward with a balanced citrusy finish.

A Jameson Sour is balanced sweet and tart with a soft oakiness in the finish. Simple and refreshing.

A Jameson Manhattan is spicy, fruity, and nuanced, with notes of chocolate, leather, and tobacco in addition to oak and red wine.

A Jameson Boulevardier is bitter, herbal Campari up front with Vermouth fruitiness underneath and just a whisper of oak in the finish.

A Jameson Old Fashioned is lightly smoky and sweet with and oak background. Smooth and balanced, but the sugar actually overpowers the whiskey flavors, perhaps because it is too mellow to stand out in this cocktail.

ABV:
