I review the beers I drink

Goose Island – Bourbon County Brand Eagle Rare Two-Year Reserve Stout

Flashlight cannot penetrate the inky blackness, no head retention at all, smells of leather, oak, and vanilla. The taste is rich and layered with flavors of cordial cherry, vanilla, caramel, toffee, and charred biscuits on a smooth, thick body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of dark chocolate, espresso, oak, bourbon, and vanilla Cavendish pipe tobacco with just a touch of herbal hops underneath. Overall this is really smooth and complex, the finish after swallowing each sip lasts for several minutes, with more and more going on with each successive sip. Being aged for 2 years implies that the fantastic 2022 stout was the base for this beer.
