I review the beers I drink

Goose Island – Bourbon County Brand Bananas Foster Stout

Flashlight does not show through, no real head retention, smells of caramel, banana bread, and chocolate. The taste is sweet and rich with flavors of chocolate covered banana, caramel, aged rum, honey, and a touch of cinnamon on a ridiculously thick and creamy body; the mouthfeel is similar to eggnog or kefir. The finish is long and low in bitterness, featuring notes of dark chocolate, overripe banana, caramel, rum, vanilla, oak, and just a touch of herbal hops. Overall, this is a fantastic stout, it delivers on the promised flavors and is sinfully decadent. Perhaps my favorite of the 2023 batch, but I do have a couple more to try.
