I review the beers I drink

Lustau – Palo Cortado Península

Pours a clear mahogany color, smells of raisin, fig, and toffee. The taste is bright and fruity with flavors of cherry, apple, plum, and hazelnut on a silky smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter with a light acidity, featuring notes of Brazil nut, lemon zest, unsweetened chocolate, roasted peanuts, and oak. Overall this is a most interesting style, oxidized yet bright and fruity, yet also showing the smoothness and flavor imparted by aging in wood. Probably my favorite sherry so far, or at least tied with the Manzanilla Papirusa.
