Pours a clear deep mahogany brown, smells of hazelnut, fig, dates, and pistachio. The taste is bright and lightly sweet, with flavors of caramel, toffee, plum, raisin, macadamia and pecan on a silky smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter and with a moderately low acidity, featuring notes of hazelnut, lemon zest, walnut, salted caramel, lime, and oak. Overall, this is very nice, a little bit richer and smoother and fuller than the Palo Cortado, and I’d say I prefer this one.
