I review the beers I drink

Cascina Guido Berta – Barbera D’Asti 2021

A DOCG wine from Piedmont in North Western Italy. Smells of plum, fig, and blackberry. The taste is surprisingly sweet with big jammy flavors of blackberry, blueberry, plum, fig, black cherry and strawberry on a silky smooth medium body. The finish is long and moderately dry with a mild acidity, featuring notes of raspberry, strawberry, cherry, dark chocolate, and a hint of coffee. Overall, this is a fantastic wine, exceptionally bold and bursting with fruity flavors, elevated by the restrained balance between sweet, dry, and tart flavors underneath. Well worth the $14 price tag!
