I review the beers I drink

Broadbent – 10 Year Malmsey Madeira

Pours a burnt orange hue reminiscent of dried apricots; smells of blackberry, plum, and fig. The taste is sweet and jammy with flavors of plum, fig, blackberry, blueberry, grapes jelly, and hazelnut on a soft and smooth light body. The finish is long and low in bitterness and acidity, featuring notes of vanilla, caramel, dried fruit, pipe tobacco, grape leaves, and oak. Overall, this is the sweetest but perhaps also the most complex of the four grapes. The amazing mix of rich jammy fruit notes, nuttiness, and dried fruits and aromatics in the finish make this an extraordinary wine that should be savored and saved for special occasions.
