Flashlight shows a deep purple tinted ruby color, smells of Cabernet Sauvignon, stone fruit, and alcohol. The taste is sweet and fruity with flavors of strawberry, cherry, plum, grape, and wildflower honey on a smooth medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter and with a low acidity, featuring notes of plum, raisin, oak, fig, vanilla, dark chocolate, and grape leaves. Overall, this is only the 2nd real Ruby Porto I’ve ever had, but it’s a surprisingly notable improvement over the Fine Ruby; the balance between sweet fruits, tannins, and oak is sublime!
