I review the beers I drink

Sandeman – Fine Tawny Porto

Pours a bright red hue with shades of light brown under indirect light, smells of grape, raisin, and fig. The taste is lightly sweet and toasted with flavors of caramel, red grape, cherry, plum, and caramelized onions on a smooth medium body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness and with a low acidity, featuring notes of dark chocolate, grape skins, plum, black pepper, broadleaf tobacco, and licorice. Overall, this wine is much more complex than I expected! Not really as oxidized/nutty as Madeira, it has most of the sweetness and fruitiness of a ruby port, but with several added layers of caramelized sugars and aromatics. Simply delicious.
