Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Tree House – Tree of Life Blended

So, I actually have 2 bottles of this, I may get more this year, but at any rate I intend to age the other for 1 year and then update this review with my impressions. (That turned into 3 years, read the review here)

Flashlight yields a ruby hue, head retention is light, smells of raisins and sherry. The taste is sweet and creamy, flavors of apple, raisin, caramel and vanilla on a silky smooth full body. The finish is long but low in bitterness, featuring soft herbal and citrus peel hops along with hints of dark chocolate and cherry. Overall, this beer is incredibly complex and perfectly balanced, but what stands out most is how damn smooth it is! At no point does the experience feel boozy save for a little warmth in the finish, reminiscent of Irish cream.
