Ok, so here’s where Tree House gets confusing, this is JJJuliusss! or “Triple J.” It’s not a triple or double version of Julius (that’s King Julius) it’s just Julius with more kettle and dry hopping (and yes, there’s a King JJJuliusss).
Anyway, super hazy opaque pour with minimal head retention; smells of tangerine, mango, and pineapple just like original, just a bit moreso. The taste is a lot bolder; same juicy flavors but with a more substantial breadiness and thicker body. The finish is also longer and higher in bitterness, with the same citrus, pine, and floral hop notes. Overall, it does sacrifice some of the smoothness and sessionability of Julius in exchange for stronger, bolder flavors. Given the extremely limited availability of this beer, if you see it, just buy a can.
