I review the beers I drink

Sam Adams – Apple Spice Ale

Lightly hazy with excellent head retention, smells of fresh baked apples, caramel, and subtle cinnamon. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of toasted wheat rolls and buttery pie crust crackers on top of apple and spice undertones and a smooth and creamy full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of herbal hops, cinnamon, apricot, and clove. Overall, the apples themselves are predominantly on the aroma, while the titular spice(s) dominate the taste and finish; an intriguing and assertively hopped ale, not quite what I expected but very enjoyable.
