I review the beers I drink

Petrus – Oud Bruin

A mixture of 33% brown ale aged 2 years in oak foeders, and 67% unaged brown ale. Clear mahogany in color with solid head retention, smells of roasted malt with sour cherries underneath. The taste is sweet and pleasantly tart, with toasted bread and juicy cherry flavors, paired to a creamy full body. The finish is long and mellow, with very low bitterness, very subtle herbal hops and a mild oakiness before a clean astringency washes across the palate. Overall, this is a fantastic beer, a perfect blend of fruity but not overpowering sour, and a toasty brown ale.
