I review the beers I drink

Mitra9 – Kratom Seltzers

Also picked up these kratom seltzers to check out, each containing 45mg of mitragynine.

Taste:

Black Cherry: crystal clear, smells of cherry cough syrup. Sweet cherry up front with a light acidity underneath, finishes with a heavy cherry cough drop flavor and aroma and hints of lime with a mild tartness; overall not unpalatable at all, I actually can’t taste the kratom at all, but the artificial cherry flavor could be dialed back a bit.

Raspberry Lime: Clear, smells of lime gummies and raspberry leaves. Sweet and a tiny but tart up front reminiscent of a raspberry limeade, finishes with a light acidity and notes of raspberry and lime peel, no taste of kratom; overall this is much better than the Black Cherry, still a tad artificial tasting but still a very clean and enjoyable flavor.

Watermelon: Clear, virtually no smell, just the slightest hint of watermelon. Sweet and fruity up front, like a whole handful of watermelon gummies, finishes moderately tart with notes of watermelon rind and sour gummies, no taste of kratom; overall, very fruity and refreshing with a nice balance from the acidity in the finish, but it does approach puckering levels of sour by the end. Still, I’d say I like it just a little bit more than the Raspberry Lime.

Dragon Fruit: Clear, smells of dragon fruit, strawberry, and rosé. Sweet sweet and lightly fruity with flavors following the nose of dragon fruit and strawberry, but it’s a lighter, slightly “watered down” flavor; finishes clean with mild acidity and notes of lime peel, watermelon rind, and minerals. Overall, I like this one; it’s bright, fruity, and light, a great option if you actually enjoy seltzers and like less sweet drinks.

My favorite: probably the Watermelon as it was the most well balanced and well rounded flavor, but the Dragon Fruit is a close second and the Raspberry Lime is enjoyable as well. My least favorite would be the Black Cherry as it reminds me of Chloraseptic spray, but I’m sure others would enjoy it.

Effects:

Surprisingly strong “stoned” feeling but with clearer thoughts and a mild euphoria from 1 can. Two cans is euphoric, relaxed, slightly “stoned” but but no drowsiness or foggy brain; a legitimate opioid buzz without any nausea, or nodding. It’s important to note though that since this is an opioid to respect it and enjoy these in moderation. One can of kava plus one can of Kava Seltzer is a very mellow, relaxed buzz with a noticeable sleep inducing sedation.

Overall this is WAY better than filling gelcaps with kratom powder and there’s no leafy flavor at all. This could be dangerous for some people due to how easy it is to consume and the addiction potential, but it is an enjoyable experience with reasonably good flavors.
