I review the beers I drink

La Trappe – Tripel

Clear with minimal head retention, smells of apricot, Belgian yeast, and faint alcohol. The taste is crisp with a classically Belgian funky flavor mixed with doughy malt and a lightly fruity overtone paired to a medium body. The finish is long and dry with low to moderate bitterness featuring notes of citrus peel, herbal, and spicy hops along with some boozy warmth and residual yeast in the background. Overall, it’s not bad, actually kinda tastes similar to a Brut IPA with Belgian yeast, but I prefer the dubbel
