I review the beers I drink

Château Réal – Haut-Médoc Grand Vin de Bordeaux 2019

Château Réal Haut-Médoc 2019

So I’ve never actually had a Bordeaux wine before, decided this bottle looked to be the best in $15 range and picked it up.

Flashlight shows a deep plum color, smells of leather, forest floor, and must. The taste is fruity but tart, with flavors of raspberry, black cherry, apple, and cranberry on a smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately high in acidity, featuring notes of raspberry, rhubarb, cranberry, red meat, forest floor, and a touch of red wine vinegar. Overall it’s very well structured and balanced, but (rather surprisingly) a little too tart in the finish for my palate.

ABV:14%
IBU:
Malts:65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Malbec, & Malbec grapes
Yeast:Wine
