I review the beers I drink

Sandeman – Fine Ruby Porto

Flashlight shows a deep beet red bordering on purple, smells of grape juice, red meat, and alcohol. The taste is sweet and fruity with flavors of cherry, plum, grape, sugar, and vanilla on a silky smooth light body. The finish is long and moderately bitter and low in acidity, featuring notes of oak, dark chocolate, grape leaves, wormwood, and cherry cough syrup. Overall, it’s a solid basic example of the style; fruity and sweet without being cloying, low in acidity, and with an intriguing bitter finish.
