I review the beers I drink

Tree House – King Jjjuliusss

King Julius, but with the extra kettle and dry-hopped Jjjuliusss! treatment.

Somehow even more hazy and light blocking with minimal head retention, smells of freshly peeled tangerines, a bushel of mango, and a truckload of pineapple. The taste is like a pineapple upside cake and orange juice thrown in a blender; flavors of mango, lemon, cantaloupe, sweet cream, and honey mingle beneath on the densest, chewiest, most downright “mouth full of cake” feeling body I’ve ever seen in an IPA. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of orange peel, lemon zest, floral/herbal hops, and subtle pine sap. Overall, King Julius already pushed the super hoppy New England IPA further than I thought possible, and this just pushes it even further still. This beer is not for the faint of heart, as it’s SO dense and rich with flavor, but so rewarding to finally experience, though I do recommend trying the series sequentially for full effect. I honestly don’t know how the style could possibly be improved anymore.
