I review the beers I drink

Tree House – King Julius

First comes Julius, one of the Tree House flagship IPAs, then comes Jjjuliusss!, The extra kettle & dry-hopped variant. After that, if you make a DIPA version of Julius, you get this beer.

Ultra hazy, almost no light penetration, with minimal head retention, smells of tangerine, mango, and pineapple; classic Julius aroma. The taste is dense and explosively juicy with flavors of orange juice, mango, and pineapple as expected, but also with hints of orange creamsicle and glazed donut underneath the incredibly thick and chewy, yet still creamy smooth body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of orange zest and lime peels on a bed of floral, herbal, and softly spicy hops. Overall, this is a mammoth beer; so dense and heavy on the tongue yet bursting with flavor and complexity yet perfectly balanced and easy to drink. This is incredible, definitely worthy of it’s place in the craft beer pantheon.
