I review the beers I drink

Surly – Todd the Axe Man

Hazy with light head retention, smells of orange, mango, and pineapple. The taste is semi-sweet with tropical and citrus juice flavors forward with soft bready undertones and a medium body. The finish is long but low to moderate in bitterness, with citrus and floral hop notes and a touch of residual juiciness. Overall, this is mindblowingly good. It’s like a perfect mix of New England and West Coast IPAs, and more than any other brewery, I find Surly has a unique ability to bring out hop flavors in the initial taste moreso than the malts. Simply amazing.
