I review the beers I drink

Surly – Furious

I found Surly at my local NY beer store! Surly is my home brewery of sorts as I consider myself a Minneapolitan.

Moderately hazy with moderate head retention, smells of citrus, floral hops, and subtle caramel. The taste is almost sweet up front, with lots juicy citrus and honey flavors with the expected toasted bread and spicy malts underneath in the background; body is medium. The finish is long and moderately bitter, with floral, citrus peel, herbal, and a hint of pine hop notes. Overall, I love this beer, so I’m a bit partial, but this is one of the most sessionable IPAs I’ve ever had, and at 6.7% it’s hefty, but just enough without sneaking up on you later.
