Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Adirondack – Fat Scotsman

Hazy with incredible head retention, smells of caramel and toffee on a soft doughy background. The taste is actually sour, with a flash of tart cherry that quickly fades away as the full body coats the tongue. The finish is short and low to moderate in bitterness, with notes of citrus and herbal hops amid some residual tart cherry. Overall, not what I was expecting at all! I thought this would be a big, malty wee heavy, but what I got is actually closer to an oud bruin…
