The taste is lightly sweet and fruity with flavors of strawberry, peach, nectarine, and grape juice on a smooth medium body. The finish is long and warm and with a moderately low bitterness, featuring notes of oak, plum, fig, caramel, toffee, and cherry. Overall, this wine is surprisingly good for the price, and much smoother and fruitier than I expected for a fortified wine.
