I love a good doppelbock and this one is aptly named. Hazy with minimal head retention, smells of buttery crackers, like a Ritz, with a lightly toasty, boozy character underneath. Taste is a boozy sweetness, almost like a wine if not for the toasted bread, floral hops, and slightly raisiny\/sourdough-esque flavors mixed in. A very complex beer, the body is slick and the finish is dry and buttery at the same time. A solid example of the style, it packs a punch in terms of flavor and alcohol content. Very tasty and well balanced.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","embm_styles":[32],"embm_groups":[],"embm_menus":[],"class_list":["post-648","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","hentry","embm_style-doppelbock"],"embm_profile":{"malts":null,"hops":null,"additions":null,"yeast":null,"abv":null,"ibu":null},"embm_extras":{"availability":null,"notes":null,"beer_number":null},"embm_untappd":{"id":null},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/648","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/embm_beer"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=648"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/648\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":652,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/648\/revisions\/652"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=648"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"embm_style","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_styles?post=648"},{"taxonomy":"embm_group","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_groups?post=648"},{"taxonomy":"embm_menu","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_menus?post=648"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
