The taste is bright and jammy with flavors of cherry, plum, fig, blackberry, and black grapes on a light, mildly astringent body. The finish is long and dry with a moderately low acidity, featuring notes of dark chocolate covered cherries, raspberry jam, rhubarb, forest floor, and soft oak. Overall, it’s a lovely and approachable red that’s surprisingly lovely for it’s age, and the judicious use of oak here is surprisingly nice, adding depth but not upstaging the grapes. A fantastic wine for $20.

Lively

[316
["post-5889","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","embm_style-aglianico
"After racking, 50% of the wine is stored in 25 hl oak barrels, while the remaining portion continues aging in stainless steel.
