The taste is bright and jammy with flavors of strawberry rhubarb jam, blueberry pie, elderberry, blackberry, and plum on a lightly astringent medium body. The finish is long and dry with a moderately low acidity and a gentle alcoholic warmth, featuring notes of lychee, lingonsylt, soft oak, and aromatic tobacco. Overall, this is a wonderfully structured wine, seemingly simple at first taste, but slowly evolving across the palate with time and more sips. The most vanilla forward wine I have had to date, and one of the more expensive at $55, not an everyday wine but certainly worth the price for a special occasion or to cellar for several years.<\/p>\n
<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-5847\" src=\"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Screenshot_20240622-174538-72x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"72\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Screenshot_20240622-174538-72x300.png 72w, https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Screenshot_20240622-174538-245x1024.png 245w, https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Screenshot_20240622-174538-768x3209.png 768w, https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Screenshot_20240622-174538-368x1536.png 368w, https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Screenshot_20240622-174538-490x2048.png 490w, https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Screenshot_20240622-174538-508x2123.png 508w, https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Screenshot_20240622-174538.png 1007w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 72px) 100vw, 72px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":5848,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","embm_styles":[310],"embm_groups":[],"embm_menus":[],"class_list":["post-5845","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","embm_style-brunello-di-montalcino"],"embm_profile":{"malts":"100% Sangiovese","hops":"","additions":"Aged "36 months, with peaks of 40 months, in French and Slovenian oak barrels, with short elevation in first and second handled barriques, then at least 6-8 months in the bottle before release for sale."","yeast":"Wine","abv":14.5,"ibu":null},"embm_extras":{"availability":"","notes":"","beer_number":null},"embm_untappd":{"id":null},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/5845","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/embm_beer"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=5845"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/5845\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":5849,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/5845\/revisions\/5849"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/5848"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5845"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"embm_style","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_styles?post=5845"},{"taxonomy":"embm_group","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_groups?post=5845"},{"taxonomy":"embm_menu","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_menus?post=5845"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
