The taste is actually a little bit sweet and fruity with flavors of cherry, plum, strawberry, and grapes on an astringent full body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of grape leaves, leather, forest floor, and a touch of rhubarb acidity. Overall, this is an incredibly smooth, structured, and complex wine, with seemingly endless layers piled on top of each other.
