The taste is lightly sweet with flavors of apple, pear, vanilla cream, fig, and cherry. The finish is long and has a mild burn, featuring notes of oak, champagne, vanilla, brown sugar, and leather. Overall, a very complex cognac that’s smooth and pleasing to the palate, without being too oak forward, and while the Hennessy VSOP was just a little bit smoother to sip on, I do prefer the brighter, fruitier flavor of this.

A sidecar has a delightful burst of fruit flavor, lemon and orange of course, but also grape and apple and plum; very enjoyable.

A Cognac Jack tastes like lemon, grenadine and Werther’s candies; quite unique and delicious.

A Cognac Jack has flavors of vanilla, brown sugar, and creamy aged champagne underneath the apple and lemon flavors.

An Old Fashioned strikes the perfect balance between sweet fruit, aromatic spices, and dry oak. I would venture to guess that the Courvoisier VS, which I haven’t had, would be better for cocktails similar to the Hennessy VS, but this VSOP is able to stand out just enough in most cocktails, while also being a superb sipping spirit.

[255
["post-5075","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","embm_style-cognac
["GET
