The taste is citrusy and sweet with flavors of fresh squeezed lemonade, lime, and tangerine. The finish is long and low in bitterness, featuring notes of lemon zest, juniper berries, and subtle botanicals. Overall, it’s a little one dimensional with the lemon, I’ll have to try it without garnish as usual, but it is very good; honestly kind of scary how much this tastes like lemonade considering the higher ABV.

A tonic sans garnish is still lemon forward, but less so and with a more pronounced juniper flavor.

A gimlet has a curious bitter lemon/lime peel character that adds a nice layer of complexity.

A dry martini is surprisingly floral and lightly sweet with subtle lemon notes in the finish.

A martinez is sweet, citrusy, and a little spicy with exceptional balance.

A negroni is equally balanced and smooth; possibly my favorite gin for negronis…

A Collins is virtually indistinguishable from lemonade despite the ABV, and is incredibly refreshing.

Lastly, being navy strength, I had to make an Army Navy. The result is of course smooth and lemon forward, however the orgeat helps bring out the earthy root botanicals more and really open up the gin while adding several layers of complexity.

[187
["post-4945","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","embm_style-gin-tonic
Gin: Angelica, Cardamom, Coriander, Juniper, Lemon, Orange, Orris Root
Tonic: Congoan Quinine, Tanzanian Bitter Orange, Provencal "subtle botanicals", Gloucestershire Elderflower
["GET
