The taste is bready and smoky with flavors of charred biscuits and soft honey on a soft medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of herbal hops, pine, smoke, and a hint of bourbon barrel. Overall, I don’t have much to compare it to and it’s hard to describe. It’s not as smoky as a rauchbier, and not as oaky as a barrel aged beer; the finish is more reminiscent of a Guinness, while the body reminds me of a cream ale. But all of these separate components come together to form something that is both unique and quite enjoyable.<\/p>\n
Canned on: “AUTUMN 2022”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":4267,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","embm_styles":[75,133],"embm_groups":[],"embm_menus":[],"class_list":["post-4265","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","embm_style-lager-helles","embm_style-smoked-beer"],"embm_profile":{"malts":"German Pilsner, smoked malts","hops":"Unknown","additions":"Conditioned in American oak.","yeast":"Lager","abv":5.2,"ibu":null},"embm_extras":{"availability":"","notes":"","beer_number":null},"embm_untappd":{"id":4948999},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/4265","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/embm_beer"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=4265"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/4265\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":4270,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/4265\/revisions\/4270"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/4267"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4265"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"embm_style","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_styles?post=4265"},{"taxonomy":"embm_group","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_groups?post=4265"},{"taxonomy":"embm_menu","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_menus?post=4265"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
