The taste is crisp and roasty with flavors of toasted biscuits, caramel, chocolate milk, and smoked meats on a silky smooth, full body. The finish is long and low in bitterness, featuring notes of wood-fired bread, burnt caramel, subtle roasted coffee, and herbal hops. Overall, I was expecting just an average brown ale, but this is very good! Perfect balance between sweet and smoky malts, just a hint of bittering hops, and a creamy body to tie it all together; this is probably the best brown ale I’ve ever had.<\/p>\n
Canned on: N\/A<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":3802,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","embm_styles":[22],"embm_groups":[],"embm_menus":[],"class_list":["post-3798","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","embm_style-brown-ale-english"],"embm_profile":{"malts":"Unknown","hops":""English hops"","additions":"","yeast":"Ale","abv":4.8,"ibu":null},"embm_extras":{"availability":"","notes":"","beer_number":null},"embm_untappd":{"id":71155},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/3798","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/embm_beer"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=3798"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/3798\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":3801,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/3798\/revisions\/3801"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/3802"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3798"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"embm_style","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_styles?post=3798"},{"taxonomy":"embm_group","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_groups?post=3798"},{"taxonomy":"embm_menu","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_menus?post=3798"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
