The taste is crisp and very funky with notes of honey, clove, sourdough, and lemongrass on a medium body. The finish is long low in bitterness, featuring notes of banana, herbal, and floral hops. Overall, it’s a fantastic Belgian pale, perfectly balanced and complex for days. I remember when I first got into beer about 10 years ago, this was the #1 beer in the world on BeerAdvocate; it no longer is, but it’s still an excellent beer and about as good as any introduction to Belgians as you could ask for.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":2889,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","embm_styles":[11],"embm_groups":[],"embm_menus":[],"class_list":["post-2886","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","embm_style-belgian-strong-golden-ale"],"embm_profile":{"malts":"Pale","hops":"Styrian Golding and Saaz","additions":"","yeast":"Belgian Ale","abv":8.5,"ibu":25},"embm_extras":{"availability":"","notes":"","beer_number":null},"embm_untappd":{"id":4485},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/2886","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/embm_beer"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2886"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/2886\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2890,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/2886\/revisions\/2890"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/2889"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2886"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"embm_style","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_styles?post=2886"},{"taxonomy":"embm_group","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_groups?post=2886"},{"taxonomy":"embm_menu","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_menus?post=2886"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
