What flashlight? No head retention, smells of bourbon, vanilla, and caramel. The taste is sweet and creamy with notes of chocolate, vanilla cream, and a hint of cherry on a smooth, full body. The finish is long and low to moderate in bitterness, featuring herbal hops, dark chocolate, and a subtle oakiness. Overall, this is another great vintage that I presume has mellowed over the past 2 years, producing a very smooth, very drinkable beer, though not quite as complex as the 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":2733,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","embm_styles":[145],"embm_groups":[],"embm_menus":[],"class_list":["post-2729","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","embm_style-stout-american-imperial-double"],"embm_profile":{"malts":"Two-Row, Black, Caramel, Chocolate, Munich 10 and Roasted Barley","hops":"Millennium","additions":"Aged an Unknown Amount of Time in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels","yeast":"Ale","abv":14.7,"ibu":60},"embm_extras":{"availability":"","notes":"","beer_number":null},"embm_untappd":{"id":2789250},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/2729","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/embm_beer"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2729"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/2729\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2734,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/2729\/revisions\/2734"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/2733"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2729"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"embm_style","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_styles?post=2729"},{"taxonomy":"embm_group","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_groups?post=2729"},{"taxonomy":"embm_menu","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_menus?post=2729"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
