The taste is mostly dry, with a crisp mineral character as a backdrop for flavors of apple, pear, and honey on a thick, almost syrupy body. The finish is long and dry with a low bitterness and notes of apple skins, oak, and mineral water. Overall, it’s quite good, reminiscent of a dry apple cider but with extra layers of complexity from the oak and honey.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":2608,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","embm_styles":[90],"embm_groups":[],"embm_menus":[],"class_list":["post-2606","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","embm_style-mead"],"embm_profile":{"malts":"Amber Honey, Raw Dark Natural Sugar","hops":"","additions":"Aged on toasted white oak","yeast":"German Ale","abv":6.8,"ibu":null},"embm_extras":{"availability":"","notes":"","beer_number":null},"embm_untappd":{"id":1627985},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/2606","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/embm_beer"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2606"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/2606\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2609,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/2606\/revisions\/2609"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/2608"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2606"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"embm_style","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_styles?post=2606"},{"taxonomy":"embm_group","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_groups?post=2606"},{"taxonomy":"embm_menu","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_menus?post=2606"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
