The taste is crisp and smoky, reminiscent of a schwarzbier or even rauchbier, and a full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter with spicy, herbal hop notes with some coffee notes in the background. Overall, it’s not bad, the label states it’s a stout and lager blend, and the flavors of a dry Irish stout really cone through.
