The taste is very juniper heavy with only a slight sweetness from the garnish and tonic, and a light body. The finish is mellow but moderately high in bitterness, notes of quinine and citrus peels and the tea leaves finally arrive to add a mild astringency and smooth character. Overall, this is very good; the tea is far from overpowering, but it is noticeable and adds a nice touch to the end of the drink.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","embm_styles":[187],"embm_groups":[],"embm_menus":[],"class_list":["post-1563","embm_beer","type-embm_beer","status-publish","hentry","embm_style-gin-tonic"],"embm_profile":{"malts":"Gin: Juniper, Japanese Sencha, Chinese Green Tea, Spanish Grapefruit Peel, Lemon Peel, Almond, Seville Orange Peel, Coriander Seed, Orris Root, Licorice Root, Angelica Root, Angelica Seed","hops":"Tonic: Congoan Quinine, Tanzanian Bitter Orange, Provencal "subtle botanicals", Gloucestershire Elderflower","additions":"Garnish: Grapefruit slice","yeast":"","abv":null,"ibu":null},"embm_extras":{"availability":"","notes":"","beer_number":null},"embm_untappd":{"id":null},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/1563","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/embm_beer"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=1563"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/1563\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":4182,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_beers\/1563\/revisions\/4182"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=1563"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"embm_style","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_styles?post=1563"},{"taxonomy":"embm_group","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_groups?post=1563"},{"taxonomy":"embm_menu","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.davedrinksbeer.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/embm_menus?post=1563"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
