The taste is dry and a little bit tart, a bit perplexing at first as the two flavors battle for dominance amidst the full body. In the finish, the dryness wins out and a bitter grapefruit flavor takes over with an aromatic booze and oak overtone. Overall, not quite what I expected, and the initial taste on the tongue is very difficult to describe.
