The taste is semi-sweet with a strong dark chocolate presence on top of subtle smoky malts and tart but not puckering note of cherries lingering way in the back; body is smooth and full. The finish is crisp and lightly astringent, some very subtle herbal hops can be detected, but the bitterness almost zero. Overall, it&#8217;s exactly as advertised, adding some great flavors into a stout while retaining balance.
