Tawny in color with modest head retention, smells of Belgian yeast and a soft, subtle smokiness. The taste is dark and roasty, with a strong coffee flavor, and a buttery, toasty bready base underneath paired with a thick, full body. The finish is dry and a little smoky, with a low to moderate bitterness and earthy, herbal hopping that plays well against the malts and leaves the palate clean.
