I review the beers I drink

Widmer – Hefeweizen

Hazy with decent head retention, smells of banana, clove, and wheat. The taste is crisp and bready with flavors of toasted biscuits, peppery wheat, banana bread, and funky yeast on a medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of banana peel, clove, anise, grapefruit, and grassy herbal hops. Overall, it feels like an Americanized, West Coast hopped version of a hefeweizen. I prefer the traditional German flavor profile, but this isn’t bad at all.
