I review the beers I drink

Valle Dell’Acate – Zagra Grillo Sicilia DOC 2023

At last I’ve reached the final Italian wine region, Sicily. Here is a white made with Grillo grapes in sandy “yellow” soil along the eastern coast of Sicily. Smells of pear, apple, and jasmine. The taste is bright and zesty with flavors of lemonade, pear, green apple, and subtle strawberry on a crisp light body. The finish is long and moderately dry with a moderate acidity, featuring notes of lychee, lemon zest, green apples, and grape leaves. Overall, this is a very bright and bold white wine that I very much enjoy, and can imagine pairing fantastically with salads and seafood.
