Hazy with minimal head retention, smells of fresh dough, Belgian funk, and subtle smoke. The taste is crisp yet almost sweet and almost savory; caramel and dark chocolate mixed with Belgian yeast and fried potato on a medium body. The finish is long but low in bitterness, with notes of herbal and spicy hops quickly overpowered by residual yeast. Overall, it’s interesting; not a bad beer at all, but not what I expected, and not particularly “smoked” either
