Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Unibroue – Don de Dieu

Hazy with light head retention, smells of honey and raisin with a subtle yeasty undertone. The taste is lightly tart and sweet with notes of cherry and citrus with bready malts and a full body underneath. The finish is long but low in bitterness with herbal and spicy hop notes, along with some yeasty funk, that are ultimately lost in the residual cherry and carbonation minerality, leaving a sensation not dissimilar from flavored seltzer. I actually don’t disagree with the moniker “Gift from God.”
