Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Tröegs – First Cut IPA

Slightly hazy with decent head retention, smells of herbal and pine hops, clean toasted malts. The taste is semi-sweet, a prominent toasty biscuit flavor mingles with sweeter mango and peppery notes on top of a smooth, medium body. The finish is low to moderate bitterness and very clean, notes of citrus and pine hops, with some residual mango and a slightly astringent character that reminds me of a mango flavored iced tea. Overall, this is a unique beer, and well balanced, not bad at all, but in the end it really isn’t all that memorable
