I review the beers I drink

Tröegs – Chocolate Elf

A 50/50 mix of Mad Elf and Grand Cacao Chocolate Stout. Flashlight shows a clear ruby hue, head retention is solid, smells of chocolate, coffee, and cherries. The taste is smooth and moderately sweet with flavors of crème brûlée, milk chocolate, salted caramel, and maraschino cherry on a silky soft and smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately low in bitterness, featuring notes of dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, herbal hops, and subtle honey. Overall, this is a fantastic beer, with the chocolate and coffee flavors and smooth body of the stout really complementing the Elf while also providing contrasting flavors.
