Trillium – Double Dry Hopped Dot Avenue

The Double Dry Hopped version of Dot Ave.

Very hazy and super murky with minimal head retention, smells of orange creamsicle, pineapple, and peach. The taste is creamy and juicy, with flavors of orange juice, peach, apricot, and vanilla on a creamy smooth full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of candied orange peels, lemon zest, and a background of spicy, herbal, and pine hops. Overall, this is fantastic. My favorite Trillium I’ve had so far, it’s juicy and creamy and smooth and drinkable and all that, but also perfectly balanced in hop flavors; a symphony of the juicy, citrusy East Coast dominant hops and the bold, assertive West Coast dominant hops crescendoing into a finale that really is greater than the sum of it’s individual ingredients.
