I review the beers I drink

Tree House – Nervous Energy

Flashlight shows nothing, minimal head retention, smells of maple syrup, cinnamon, and fresh whipped cream. The taste is sweet and syrupy, with flavors of maple syrup, chocolate syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and caramel on a smooth and syrupy full body. The finish is long and low in bitterness, featuring notes of dark chocolate, maple syrup, coffee, cinnamon, burnt caramel, and subtle herbal hops. Overall, this nails the goal of making a french toast stout, and is the best maple stout I’ve ever had. The combination of maple and cinnamon is absolutely genius and the vanilla fills in the gaps to smooth it all out to perfection.
