I review the beers I drink

Tree House – Bright: Citra

Bright is Tree House’s hop varietal showcase beer. The original was brewed only with Mosaic, this one one with Citra. I have also a reviewed a Simcoe/Amarillo version as well as the extra kettle and dry hoppedĀ Bbbrighttt in the past.

Moderately hazy with light head retention, smells of lemon, grapefruit, and lime. The taste is, well, bright and citrusy, with flavors of lemon, tangerines, grapefruit, and lime on a lightly bready medium body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, featuring notes of lemon zest, grapefruit, lime peel, and floral hops. Overall. This is a great showcase for the Citra hop and a very comforting beer; it’s a full flavored DIPA but it still feels light and dangerously quaffable.
