I review the beers I drink

Trader José – Premium Lager

So I blew my budget on Christmas gifts and the Founders, so I got a 6 pack of Trader Joe’s beer. I also got a fancy new beer glass from my boss (Thanks Bob!)

Crystal clear with moderate head retention, smells of grassy hops and sweet adjunct grains. Taste is crisp, with the slightest hint of sweetness before the funky off-flavor that’s typical of most Mexican lagers overpowers everything else; mouthfeel is medium. The finish is dry and clean with a low bitterness and a faint grassy hop character. Overall, it’s a Mexican lager; not really complex or remarkable in anyway, yet it remains a popular style. On the other hand, the glass seems to class it up a bit and definitely helps with head retention.
