Tanqueray & Fever Tree – “Ten & Tonic”

Smells of fresh grapefruit and juniper, as to be expected, but hidden beneath are subtle peppery and floral notes to be found. The taste is very smooth and citrusy, but not cloyingly so, there is just as much peel and pith flavor as flesh and juice. The finish is smooth moderate bitterness that lingers for awhile, with flavors of citrus oils, juniper, lavender, and subtle peppery spices. Overall, the original Tanqueray is the classic, Rangpur is the bright, sweet citrus variant, and this is the best of both worlds; smooth, floral, lightly sweet citrus meets assertive London dry style botanicals. Definitely worth the price.
